Avengers Age of Ultron End Credit Scene Explained [Spoilers!]Subscribe Now! ► new Avengers movie is here and with it a new end credit scene and today we’re going to explain what it all means. If you haven’t guessed by now, we’ll be discussing the post credit scene that is featured at the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron and of course that means spoilers, so if you haven’t seen it yet, best to go check out another one of our cool videos until you do. Okay, so as the credits fade, the screen turns black and we begin to hear the sound of metal doors opening. We soon realize that we are inside some kind of secure vault. As we continue to hear and then see security doors opening, we begin to see the vault contains a gauntlet. A hand suddenly reaches in and puts the gauntlet on as we hear them say, “Fine, I’ll do it myself.” The person is revealed to be Thanos, the purple-skinned Titan that we saw in the original Avengers end credit scene and then had a larger role in last year’s Guardians of the Galaxy. It’s a short scene, but an important one. So what does it all mean? Unlike the end credit scene in the first Avengers, this one actually sets up the plot of the next film – the 2 part Infinity War set to arrive in theaters May 2018 and 2019. As you are probably aware by now, Thanos, also known as the Mad Titan, is obsessed with Death, specifically the female embodiment of death. In an attempt to impress her, he tracks down the gauntlet in the scene, known as the “Infinity Gauntlet” and its corresponding Infinity Stones. The Collector discusses the history of the Stones in Guardians of the Galaxy, but the short version is each Stone possesses a different power and when combined in the Infinity Gauntlet, it grants the wearer power over time, space, mind, soul, reality and power making them all-powerful. The last time we saw the Infinity Gauntlet, it was being stored in Odin’s Vault on Asgaard along with the Tesseract, which is the Space Stone. Some of the other Stones that we are aware of are the Aether, which was the focus of Thor: The Dark World and was given to The Collector in the post credit scene of that film, The Orb, which was the focus of Guardians of the Galaxy and is currently being held by Nova Corps on Xandar and Loki’s Scepter, which is in the hands of Baron Von Strucker early in Age of Ultron. Thanos has been utilizing his various minions to collect the Stones, but from the looks of the empty gauntlet, hasn’t had any luck. His line, “Fine, I’ll do it myself” suggests that he has decided to gather all six Stones himself. This will likely play some role in upcoming films like Doctor Strange, Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Thor: Ragnarok and of course, the two part Avengers: Infinity War. So now that you know what the Avengers: Age of Ultron end credit scene is all about, it’s time to share your theories.
